It gives me great pleasure to invite you to the 2nd SEOUL Conference on Cardiovascular Research in Seoul, Korea.
As you know, the SEOUL Conference on Cardiovascular Research is an annual conference hosted by the Cardiology of Seoul National University Hospital where many of the top clinicians and researchers devoted to cardiovascular research from Korea and abroad gather to discuss new advances and exchange scientific ideas and experiences in a unique

ambiance solely devoted to cardiovascular research. Since our inaugural conference last year, which featured some great lectures from top scientists, there have been a plethora of anticipation and expectations about the speakers and the content of this year¡¯s conference. This year, we have tried to emphasize the myocardium and the failing heart along with stem cells and angiogenesis. We are proud and honored to have distinguished scholars such as Kirk Knowlton, Akira Matsumori, Masafumi Yano, Howard Rockman, Takayuki Asahara, David Ingram, Shinya Yamanaka, Johnathan Hill, Kenneth Walsh, and Yong-sup Yoon. In addition, there will be a special satellite symposium on coxsackie virus and heart disease.

The dynamic atmosphere of an ever-evolving city such as Seoul will provide a great background for the exciting discussions and exchange of ideas that will take place in this conference.
