The SEOUL (Stem cell, angiogEnesis, HypertensiOn, Heart FailUre, Vascular BioLogy) Conference on Cardiovascular Research, is an annual symposium organized by the Seoul National University Hospital Cardiovascular Center to bring forth to Korea a venue for comprehensive discussions on hot topics related to cardiovascular research and to offer an opportunity for the gathering and integration of top class scientists and clinicians from Korea with international scholars, to share each others¡¯ exciting and stimulating ideas.
The aim of the SEOUL Conference is to bridge the gap between the bench and bedside by providing a platform where both basic researchers and clinical cardiologists alike, can integrate each other¡¯s specialties to advance research in cardiovascular medicine.

In the inaugural conference in 2005, world-renowned investigators in cardiovascular research such as Michael Schneider, Stephanie Dimmeler, Andreas Zeiher, Stevo Julius, John Cooke, and Yasuki Kihara, along with top scientist from Korea, delivered numerous outstanding lectures on a variety of topics such as cardiac progenitor cells, endothelial progenitor cells, angiogenesis, heart failure, hypertension, and restenosis.
