 The
SEOUL (Stem cell, angiogEnesis, HypertensiOn, Heart FailUre, Vascular
BioLogy) Conference on Cardiovascular Research, is an annual symposium
organized by the Seoul National University Hospital Cardiovascular
Center to bring forth to Korea a venue for comprehensive discussions
on hot topics related to cardiovascular research and to offer an opportunity
for the gathering and integration of top class scientists and clinicians
from Korea with international scholars, to share each others¡¯ exciting
and stimulating ideas.
The aim of the SEOUL Conference is to bridge the gap between the bench
and bedside by providing a platform where both basic researchers and
clinical cardiologists alike, can integrate each other¡¯s specialties
to advance research in cardiovascular medicine.

the inaugural conference in 2005, world-renowned investigators in
cardiovascular research such as Michael Schneider, Stephanie Dimmeler,
Andreas Zeiher, Stevo Julius, John Cooke, and Yasuki Kihara, along
with top scientist from Korea, delivered numerous outstanding lectures
on a variety of topics such as cardiac progenitor cells, endothelial
progenitor cells, angiogenesis, heart failure, hypertension, and restenosis. |
